This theater has a selection of pop culture blockbusters and independent films for you to choose from. The showing times for the movies changes pretty often, so you’ll need to refer to the Cine-Max Facebook to get accurate movie times. If you want to see a movie in the evening, the cost is $6 per adult. Matinee and children’s tickets are less and you can find exact prices at the Cine-Max ticket counter.

New Monkey Canopy Tours is one of the best tours for going zip lining in Tamarindo. There are seven zip lines and you can even take advantage of the Tarzan-style swing at the end of the zip line path. You can even arrange to get a ride from your hotel or condo to the zip lining site, and you can end the day enjoying some of the fresh fruit the area has to offer. The cost for this event is $37 per adult.

Boogie Boarding

Playa Langosta is one of the best places in Tamarindo to go boogie boarding. It’s just a few minutes from Playa Tamarindo, which is the area’s most famous beach, and Playa Langosta usually has smaller waves, which is ideal if you’re new to boogie boarding. It only costs $10 to get a replacement boogie board if you need one, and you can purchase the board from Super Compro grocery.

Costa Rica is home to several leatherback turtles, which are an endangered species. If you’re an animal lover, you may want to spend part of your vacation watching the turtle lay her eggs on the beach. This happens quite often at Playa Grande where the turtles lay eggs at the Parque Nacional Marino las Baulas. This event is free for children, and adults are $25 per person.

There are also lots of great places to stay in Tamarindo, including Hotel Luna Llena, which is a casual hotel with a pool, outdoor eating area and free breakfast. If you’re looking for more refined lodging, Tamarindo Dirio is a great choice. This five-star hotel has a quality steakhouse on site, is near a golf course and has spacious rooms with beautiful views. Hotel Flores is another affordable lodging option when you’re staying in Tamarindo. Hotel amenities include an outdoor pool and free Wifi and breakfast.
